The Irish Workshop is a marketplace to discover unique Irish products and buy directly from the makers, designers and artists who made them. We search every nook and cranny of Ireland to seek out the best makers, designers and artists in the land; talented people who combine beautiful craftsmanship, innovative design, and meaningful narrative to every product they craft.
Each product is made by a small business with real people behind it. This community of makers, designers and artists hail from every corner of Ireland – from Donegal to Kerry, from Galway to Dublin and everywhere in between.
The Irish Workshop was launched in October 2015 and is based in Dublin, Ireland.
One hundred thousand welcomes, or Céad Míle Fáilte. Thanks for stopping by. If you have any questions or comments, or would just like to say hello, do not hesitate to get in touch.
Charmaine and Fearghal
Charmaine Kenny, Co-founder
Charmaine has always been a lover of handmade things; as a teenager she was a supplier of handcrafted cards to a shop in her hometown, and was always pestering her parents into taking her to local craft fairs. It is no surprise so that when she is not working on The Irish Workshop site, she is busy buying things from it!
One of her many claims to fame is being the 2009 Rose of Tralee. When she is not busy playing with her crown she is our community builder, creative director and the curator of our product range.
Fearghal Mulvihill, Co-founder
Fearghal stopped giving his parents his own art work as gifts at the age of 15 (about 8 years after it had actually stopped being “cute”), and started seeking out work from local artists instead. His parents were much the happier!
As an accomplished triathlete, we have made sure to give him three jobs here at The Irish Workshop – he runs the website, balances the books and talks to our customers.
