The Maud 2 Drop Earrings. Long drop Sterling Silver earrings with two connected parts. Combination of satin and textured surfaces featuring 18ct Gold Plate. Available in oxidised silver textured detail.
The Maud 2 Drop Earrings are part of the Maud series in the Terrible Beauty 1916 jewelry collection that is inspired by the people and events of The 1916 Rising, an event that changed the course of Ireland’s history. This piece is named after Maud, a key woman in the 1916 Rising. When designing the Maud series, the jewelry designer Maria Parsons was inspired by the ancient Gaelic symbol of the circle – an element from pagan times: ‘I chose to break the circle with a line to represent the moment of change initiated by the 1916 Rising.’ Wear Your History.
Surface Material: Oxidised silver or 18ct Yellow Gold Plate
